Best Places to Shop in Sacramento
California’s Capital City isn’t all politics. With a metropolitan area of 2.5 million people, chances are a good percentage of them are shoppers! And with good reason. The Sacramento area is home to two fantastic malls worthy of a weekend or weekday getaway shopping splurge. The Arden Fair Mall located just off the Capital City Freeway is the the go-to mall in Sacramento. This giant fashion mainstay comes complete with more than 160 stores, including Nordstrom. Just northeast of Sacramento sits the suburb of Roseville, home to the fabulous Westfield Galleria at Roseville. The Galleria contains over 200 stores including the likes of Burberry, Lacoste, Louis Vuitton, Crate & Barrel, and Nordstrom. Need we say more
Still have room on your credit cards for shopping? Just across the street from the Galleria at Roseville is the Fountains at Roseville. An open-air shopping center with some great restaurants and traditional list of open air mall stores like Z Gallerie, Anthropologie, and White House Black Market.
Looking for something more historic? A must-see is Old Sacramento located in Sacramento’s historic district. The area is home to more than 100 specialty shops, galleries and restaurants. Shopping in Old Sacramento is a great way to spend an afternoon and get a taste of the area’s rich gold rush history. Other malls you might want to check out if you are in the area are the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights, located northeast of Sacramento, the Westfield Downtown Plaza Mall with over 75 stores, including Forever 21, GAP and Macy’s, and the Creekside Town Center in Roseville, located northeast of Sacramento and home to approximately 35 stores including Nordstrom Rack.
