Best Places to Shop in Philadelphia
The Philadelphia area is home to a few top malls and a smattering of mid-tier malls located throughout the greater Philly metro area. Shopping in the downtown area should include a visit to Macy’s City Center. Located in the historic Wanamaker building at 13th & Market Streets, Macy’s Center City is one of Philadelphia’s top shopping destinations with more than 100 years of retail history. It has a large, multi-story atrium, and fearures the world’s largest continually operating pipe organ. If you’re looking for a little more variety, Rittenhouse Row is home to one of Philadelphia’s most pleasurable shopping experiences. Rittenhouse Row features a mix of national retailers like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Barneys Co-Op alongside local retailers and trend-setting boutiques. If you’re feeling trendy, we recommend heading over to Old City Philadelphia for award-winning independent boutiques, art galleries and furniture showrooms.
