The Brand Manager is responsible for managing assigned US licensed brands, ensuring that marketing materials position brands for high visibility with customers, media, vendors, etc. The incumbent is will assist in planning, developing and implementing the marketing strategies and all advertising and promotional activities for assigned brands


  • Develops and implements annual trade marketing plans including: trade promotions and incentives, point of sales materials and trade advertising plans
  • Performs market and competitive analysis as well as analysis of sales and distribution results to identify key issues, trends and opportunities to support and formulate recommendations for marketing plans and promotional strategies
  • Works closely with licensors to ensure availability of advertising images
  • Works with Consumer and Trade public relations teams to identify key public relations, advertising and related promotional activities to ensure maximum visibility for assigned brands and support brand growth
  • Manages and/or Develops new point of sales materials (i.e. displays, counter cards, banners, etc.)
  • Creates tailor made materials ensuring brand consistency
  • Manages and/or Develops product catalogs
  • Creates training and other communication materials promoting brand lines
  • Is the contact person acting as liaison between licensor and brand for all marketing related matters
  • Responsible for all communications with sales force relating to marketing initiatives ensuring the timely and thorough communication of all brand promotions and initiatives as well as to conduct post launch reviews and analysis
  • Communicates with retailers to understand their business and ensure that all of their needs are met from a trade marketing stand point
  • Develops and manages marketing budgets; accurately plans and tracks brand advertising and promotional spending to ensure adherence to budget
  • Maintains accurate, complete and up-to-date files

  • Ability to juggle priorities and handle additional responsibilities as required and assigned; ability to perform under pressure

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration preferred
  • Generally requires 5 years marketing experience, with at least 3 – 4 years of brand management experience, preferably in the fashion/eyewear industry.
