The Art Director will contribute to the brand’s creative spirit and visual identity. The Art Director will blend ‘classic’ and ‘emerging’ art direction skills and will be responsible for the successful conceptualization and execution of creative initiatives. Working closely with creative management, the Art Director will ensure that the integrity of the brand is present in all facets of the digital experience while supporting e-commerce business goals. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, collaborative, a conceptual thinker and be able to mentor and manage the graphic design team. Must also possess superior graphic design and typography skills and have photo shoot experience.


  • Develop and communicate industry-leading creative
  • Formulate basic layout design or presentation approach, and specify material details, such as style and size of type, photographs, graphics, animation, video and sound
  • Work with creative directors to develop design solutions
  • On assignments where other channels are involved, work with the creative teams to ensure an integrated and consistent look and feel.
  • Direct and delegate projects to creative team and outside vendors
  • Directly contribute to project design and development
  • Create comps, storyboards, initial graphic concepts and final deliverables when required
  • Mentor and coach team members through project development and performance management
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partner agencies, photographers, production companies, talent agencies and other vendors
  • Lead and / or contribute to brainstorming initiatives and gathering ideas to support the team’s creative delivery.
  • Responsible for originating creative designs and concepts that support the creative brief
  • Ensure concepts and brand visions are consistently compelling and translate to the online experience
  • Design and art direction of online editorial feature stories, email campaigns, homepages and landing pages
  • Generate ideas that bring the brand to life on the website, Facebook and social media
  • Bring innovative digital ideas to the team
  • Maintain positive work environment with high creative standards
  • Communicate and distill conceptual ideas to team
  • Creative supervision and manage daily workflow of design team
  • Art direct photo shoots for online stories
  • Work closely with production team to cast models and choose photographers for shoots
  • Supervision of all pre-and post-production work for online stories
  • Supervise online photo team, including photographers, stylists, hair and makeup for all product shoots
  • Design and quality control of team’s workload


  • 5+ years working as an art director
  • A related Bachelors’ degree, Graphic Design, New Media Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Organized, detail-oriented and with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • A demonstrated ability to expand thinking to integrated channels
  • Strong conceptual, design, and typography skills
  • Must be passionate and curious about the blending world of communication and technology.
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Mastery of visual content creation, including planning and executing shoots for video and still photography
  • Passionate for design and creative problem solving
  • Motivation, decisiveness, organizational skills, efficiency and dedication
  • Love of collaboration across disciplines with team members at all levels
  • Extensive experience in the digital fashion retail market is not necessary, but is a plus
  • Fashion shoot experience is not necessary, but is a plus
